$EVTL batteries are the biggest challenge with this tech. EVTL has a brand new, state of the art research facility and multimillion government grant for research. Link is of issues pertaining to both the weight, and power requirements for such batteries in electric semi’s. Our electric grid can’t even handle the A/C in summers. There are many moving parts to this. This is not something you day trade. However Vertical is the Only eVTOL company with the resources and partners capable of bringing an entirely new form of flight. $JOBY is a car company designing a taxi service. $EVTL for anyone who thinks they arent flying. Some companies spend their time actually working towards achieving their goal rather than pandering to the market with a shitty remote control toy. Unlike $JOBY who hasnt even completed a production prototype, vertical will soon have 2, as well as production facilities and trained workforce to deliver their 1500+ pre orders… which how does joby plan to scale anything? $EVTL $JOBY $ACHR some interesting points I've heard in discussions on EVTOL here in the UK and the US from those in FAA/CAA. I am a Joby shareholder so I am biased and you should not take the below points as factual from a DD pov however those that have seen my posts for the last 2.5yrs will trust these are true. Urban operations in the UK will NOT be permitted over the next 5 years. It will be between licensed airports ONLY. In joint FAA/CAA discussions we are talking numbers of hundreds of evtol in service by the 2030's, no more. Some manufacturers are failing to provide appropriate information around flight performance of their aircrafts to CAA and EASA. Discussions and mood behind closed doors are not as representative as they are made out to be and the CAA is extremely pessimistic to the idea of EVTOL succeeding however if they were to hedge bets they suggest Joby has progressed the furthest so far and the FAA are genuinely trying to push this through.
